You're reading: 4 crossing points on Ukraine’s border with Hungary reopened

On the border with Hungary today, June 29, from 1:00 the Vylok-Tisabec, Luzhanka-Beregsurány, Kosyno-Barabás and Dzvinkove-Lónya border crossing points were fully reopened.

According to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, as of 8:00 in the morning, 625 people have already crossed these checkpoints, including 185 – to enter Ukraine and 440 – to leave Ukraine.

The department also reminded the citizens of Ukraine who plan to travel to Hungary for a short period of time that they did not quarantine Ukrainian citizens entering a 30-kilometer zone. Such persons are not required to provide additional supporting documents for entry, but they must leave the territory of Hungary within 24 hours.

Ukrainians who plan to travel to Hungary with a transit goal are allowed to enter Hungary 24 hours a day if they have a document of permanent residence, a residence permit, a residence permit, a long-stay visa or other document confirming the right to a long stay in the country destination issued by the official authority of that country. In addition, the person must give consent to test for COVID-19 virus and not have signs of suspected infection.
