Ukrainians spend time in watching movies and studying during the quarantine, according to a poll conducted by the messaging application Viber, the results of which were made public on April 28.

According to the survey, almost half of respondents (44%) prefer watching movies and series, 11% – studying with the help of educational online platforms, 9% – improving their cooking skills, 7% – painting, 4% – playing musical instruments, 7% – learning foreign languages, and 8% – going in for sports with the help of online courses during the quarantine.

Some of the polled Ukrainians started paying more attention to reading e-books (6%), visiting virtual museums and galleries (2%), watching plays and concerts online (2%).

Ukrainians also started to use Viber more actively during the quarantine. Users are sending each other 21% more messages, while the number of video calls has increased by 207%. The number of audio calls between users grew by 25%, conference calls – by 292%.

Ukrainians also became more active in communities – the number of views jumped by 74%, likes – by 133%.

The poll was conducted in the official community of Viber in Ukraine. More than 85,000 respondents joined it.
