Five citizens of Turkey have been detained by members of the Lviv border detachment near the Rava-Ruska-Hrebenne checkpoint on the border between Ukraine and Poland, the Lviv border detachment’s press service has reported.
Local residents informed Ukrainian border guards about a group of unknown people near the border, and a border patrol soon detained five men. They told the border guards that they intended to get into the European Union, but they did not have the relevant documents and therefore they decided to cross the border illegally.
The foreigners were taken to the border department for identification.
