During New Year holidays rescue personnel will be on 24h duty on a high-alert basis, the press service of the State Emergencies Service has said.
“For the duration of New Year holidays units of the State Emergencies Service of Ukraine will be on duty on a high-alert basis to respond to any manmade and natural emergencies,” a statement published on the website of the State Emergencies Service on December 30 says.
“Some 7,000 emergency response personnel and more than 2,000 pieces of equipment will be on duty until 9 a.m. on January 2. Also, an Antonov-26 plane will be on duty to respond to any emergencies,” the statement said.
