You're reading: 9 wounded soldiers transported to Kyiv for further treatment

An An-72 military plane of the National Guard has brought nine wounded soldiers of the Azov separate special-purpose unit of the National Guard’s Mariupol regiment from Dnipro to Kyiv for further treatment and recovery.

They were wounded in an enemy artillery attack near the village of Novoluhanske in Donetsk region in the early hours of June 7, the National Guard’s press service said. In total, 11 soldiers were wounded and another two were killed in that attack.

“The soldiers were evacuated from the field hospital to Dnipropetrovsk region’s Mechnikov Hospital, where [they stayed until] their condition was stabilized,” it said.

Now their condition is satisfactory, they will be further treated until full recovery at the Central Hospital of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
