Representative of the political party Order Andriy Aksionov has won in the single-mandate constituency No. 50 in Donetsk region, where the midterm elections of Ukrainian parliamentarians were held on March 28, according to the results of electronic processing of 100% of the protocols, gaining 65.46 of votes.

As reported on the website of the Central Election Commission of Ukraine (CEC), representative of the Shariy Party, Valentyn Rybin, who gained 13%, is in second place, representative of the European Solidarity, volunteer and pediatric vascular cardiac surgeon Yulia Kuzmenko is in the third place with 6.69% of the vote.

Representative of the Derzhava party Viktoria Shylova has got 4.08% of the vote, representative of the Servant of the People party Andriy Bondarenko – 3.02%, representative of the Opposition Bloc party Nadia Maslo – 2.92%, the rest of the candidates – less than 2% of the votes each.

Aksionov is a native of Donetsk region, since 2015 he has been the mayor of Dobropillia. The media published evidence that Aksionov traveled to the occupied Crimea, where he received a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation. Later he was accused of forgery and embezzlement of property, and then he was put on the wanted list; he received treatment in Germany, returned to Ukraine in 2019, after which he was removed from the post of the mayor, but he was re-elected to this post in 2020.

In 2019, Aksionov lost in the parliamentary elections in constituency No. 50 to Ruslan Trebushkin, gaining 28.92% of the vote, while Trebushkin received 30.33%. However, in 2020 Trebushkin wrote a statement of resignation of parliamentary powers in connection with his election to the post of Pokrovsky mayor of Pokrovsky district of Donetsk region. On Dec. 16, the Verkhovna Rada terminated his powers ahead of schedule.

The CEC, by a decision of Nov. 27, appointed the midterm parliamentary elections of Ukraine in the specified constituency for Sunday, March 28. The start of the electoral process was scheduled for Jan. 27.
