You're reading: Another 61 COVID-19 cases, 3 patients die, 24 recover in Kyiv over past day

Some 61 more people have been infected with coronavirus (COVID-19) in Kyiv over the past 24 hours, while three people died and 24 recovered, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko has said.

“Friends! The number of Kyiv residents who have been diagnosed with coronavirus over the past day has increased by 61 people. Three patients have died. In total, coronavirus killed 101 residents of Kyiv,” Klitschko wrote on his Facebook page on June 23 morning.

He noted that in general, there are already 4,429 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ukraine’s capital today.

Thus, the COVID-19 infected patients include 29 women aged from 22 to 79 years, two girls who are two and ten years old, as well as 28 men aged from 24 to 88 years, and two boys who are two and 15 years old.

“There were 17 patients hospitalized in the capital’s hospitals. The rest of the patients were on self-isolation under the supervision of doctors. Some 24 people have recovered over the past 24 hours. Totally, some 1,415 residents of Kyiv have overcome coronavirus,” Klitschko said.

According to the mayor, the most cases of the disease were found in Desniansky district of 13 cases, while Obolonsky, Pechersky and Dniprovsky districts had eight cases each.
