Around 500 companies from 17 countries will present their developments at the 15th international specialized exhibition Arms and Security 2018 to be held in Kyiv on October 9 through October 12.
The press center of the exhibition told Interfax-Ukraine that this year the Arms and Security exhibition will be the largest in all years of Ukraine’s independence: around 500 companies from 17 countries confirmed their participation in the exhibition, including the United States, Turkey, China, the UAE, Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, Austria, Luxembourg, Denmark, Latvia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine.
According to the tradition of recent years, the Arms and Security-2018 will be held jointly with the 11th international aviation and space salon Aviasvit XXI.
On the total exhibition area of more than 30,000 square meters over 60 full-scale samples of equipment will be exhibited, including watercrafts and 11 aircraft models. Official delegations of defense ministries from 11 countries will arrive at the exhibition, the press center said.
According to the organizers, the most powerful foreign exhibits will be the national pavilions of Poland, Turkey and the Czech Republic, and the number of participants from the United States has also increased.
The opportunities of the defense and industrial complex of Ukraine will be represented by over 380 participants, including 50 enterprises of the Ukroboronprom state concern, as well as leading Ukrainian private defense companies-members the League of Defense Enterprises of Ukraine. Among them are well-known in the world market PJSC Motor Sich, SOE Antonov, SOE Makarov Pivdenmash Plant, Pivdenne Design Bureau, SOE Ivchenko-Progress, state joint-stock holding company Artem, Arsenal and PrJSC Kuznya on Rybalsky plant.
“The Ukrainian participants will present the results of the implementation of NATO standards in the production of military goods and the high export potential of the defense industry of Ukraine,” the press center said.
According to the organizers of the Arms and Security 2018, it is expected that representatives of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) and Ukrainian law enforcement agencies, members of the Ukrainian government will take part in the exhibition.
