Assistant to the U.S. President for National Security Affairs John Bolton hopes to hold productive meetings with Ukrainian officials in Kyiv.
“We are pleased to welcome National Security Advisor John Bolton back to Kyiv! Ambassador Bolton is here to underscore U.S. support for Ukraine’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and Euro-Atlantic path. He looks forward to productive meetings with Ukrainian officials,” the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine said on Twitter.
Former Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Natalia Mykolska, in turn, said Bolton is already on a visit to Ukraine.
“An important [visit] in terms of preparation of meetings between Zelensky and Donald Trump. Timing is also perfect as the Ukrainian parliament commences the first meeting and a new prime minister to be appointed this week,” she said on Twitter.
As reported, earlier Bolton announced his arrival in Kyiv.
“The president (Trump) had productive meetings in Biarritz at the G7. I’m looking forward to my upcoming meetings with our partners in Kyiv,” he said on Twitter.
