At least ten protesters were detained during a neighborhood march in Minsk on Thursday, the Viasna human rights center unregistered in Belarus said on Telegram.

“More than ten participants in a neighborhood march were detained on Kharkovskaya Street in Minsk last night. Reportedly, they were taken to the Frunzenskoye district police station,” Viasna said.

Mass protests against the results of the presidential election have been ongoing in Belarus since August 9, 2020. Incumbent President Alexander Lukashenko, who has been in office since 1994, was declared the winner. The protesters demand that Lukashenko step down, political prisoners be released, and a new election be held.
