Automatic defibrillators have been placed in the passenger areas at all 52 stations of the Kyiv metro, the press service of Kyiv Metropoliten reports.

“Thirty-three pieces of equipment that were at the subway ticket offices have been moved to platforms and cash halls. The installation sites were discussed with the All-Ukrainian Council of Resuscitation,” the statement said on Wednesday, May 12.

It says that 52 defibrillators (one for each station) were purchased by the Kyiv City Public Health Center and transferred to the municipal enterprise balance in 2020. Of these, 19 were installed in the places determined by the authors of the public budget “Reanimero”.

As reported, at the end of March, a defibrillator installed at the Palats Sportu metro station in Kyiv for the first time helped to save the life of a passenger.
