In his latest bill submitted to the Ukrainian parliament on December 3, President Petro Poroshenko has suggested that the Agreement on Friendship, Cooperation, and Partnership between Ukraine and the Russian Federation be discontinued from April 1, 2019.
“To discontinue the Agreement on Friendship, Cooperation and Partnership between Ukraine and the Russian Federation that was signed in Kyiv on May 31, 1997 and ratified by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on January 14, 1998 in accordance with Article 40 of the the Agreement on Friendship, Cooperation and Partnership between Ukraine and the Russian Federation,” bill No 0206 says.
