It was announced on President Voldymyr Zelensky’s official website on Saturday, July 9, that he is replacing a host of Ukrainian ambassadors in countries as diverse as Germany, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Norway and India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh and others.
The reason for this change – whether it is a routine periodic redeployment of diplomats – or something else, is unclear at this stage.
The change that is likely to attract the most attention is that of Ukraine’s outspoken ambassador in Berlin, Andriy Melnyk.
