The British Ministry of Defense is ready to cooperate with the Interior Ministry of Ukraine in professional training of personnel of the National Guard of Ukraine, the press service of the National Guard said.
During a working meeting with representatives of the National Guard, Defense Attaché of the UK Embassy in Ukraine David Warner noted that it would be very useful if British instructors had an opportunity to teach the National Guard not only at training centers but also through mobile training groups in military units. Warner said he likes the idea of sending someone from the UK as an advisor who would work in Ukrainian educational institutions and training centers. The diplomat added that they will also find something to learn from the Ukrainian side.
According to him, one of the forms of cooperation will be visits to study the organization of the professional training system both in the National Guard of Ukraine and in the defense department of Great Britain.
It is very important for the UK to understand the nature of the hybrid threat that currently exists in Ukraine, Warner said adding that they recognize that the threats which Ukraine is facing are relevant not only for Ukraine, but for Britain as well.
