The budget resolution approved by the government at a meeting on June 14 provides for the allocation of Hr 6 billion from the general fund of the national budget to support the agro-industrial complex in 2018.
According to the document, the total amount of funding in 2019 could amount to Hr 7 billion and in 2020 the figure could rise to Hr 8 billion.
These funds will be used for budget subsidies, technical re-equipment of agricultural production, the cheapening of loans and insurance payments, lending to farms, stimulating the development of livestock, horticulture, and fish farming.
As reported, the Cabinet foresaw Hr 4 billion for subsidies to the agro-industrial complex for 2017.
