You're reading: Case against official suspected of receiving $3,000 bribe transferred to court

The military prosecutor’s office of Kyiv’s garrison has transferred a case opened due to a fact of receiving a bribe of $3,000 by the head of the institution coordinated by the National Space Facilities Control and Test Center of the State Space Agency of Ukraine (SSAU) to court.

“The pretrial investigation was carried out by the Territorial Administration of the State Bureau of Investigation, located in the city of Kyiv. During the pretrial investigation it was established that the official incited an entrepreneur to provide a bribe and illegally seized money in the amount of $3,000 for making a decision and, in the future, signing lease agreement for 10 holiday homes,” the press service of the military prosecutor’s office of Kyiv’s garrison said.

As reported, the official was detained on Jan. 16. The SSAU told Interfax-Ukraine that it was the head of the Mriya health and preventive rehabilitation center of the National Space Facilities Control and Test Center coordinated the SSAU. However, he is neither an employee of the State Space Agency, nor a civil servant.
