Chesno, a civil movement monitoring the integrity of government officials, released a report on June 11 praising 13 lawmakers from the 25-member Samopomich faction in parliament as among the 25 most honest lawmakers in the Verkhovna Rada.
Lawmakers gained points based on five negative categories – truancy, voting for others, voting for anti-democratic initiatives, vote buying and being a subject of a corruption case. Supporting structural reforms deducted a point from the overall negative rating.
The 25 most honest lawmakers, according to Chesno are:
- From Samopomich — Lev Pidlisetskyi, Oleksandr Danchenko, Liubomyr Zubach, Oleh Lavryk, Oleksandr Opanasenko, Tetiana Ostrikova, Iryna Podoliak, Anna Romanova, Roman Semenukha, Ruslan Sydorovych, Oleksiy Skrypnyk, Yehor Sobolev; Oksana Syroid, deputy speaker.
- Independents — Ostap Yednak, Natalia Veselova, Svetlana Zalishchuk, Pavlo Kishkar, Serhiy Leshchenko, Viktoria Ptashnuk, Viktor Chumak.
- Batkivshchyna Party with 20 members — Serhiy Sobolev, Olena Shkrum, Oleksiy Ryabchyn.
- Petro Poroshenko Bloc with 135 members — Natalya Novak, Oksana Yurynets
Additionaly Chesno has published the top 10 dishonest list, featuring three members from – the Petro Poroshenko Bloc, 24-member Vidrodzhennya faction, 18-member People’s Will, and a member of the Opposition Bloc.
