The National Agency for Corruption Prevention has refused to conduct a full audit of the declaration of Chief of the State Guard Department Valeriy Heletey for 2016, the Center for Combating Corruption (CCC) has said.

“Refuse the subject of the request in a full verification of the declaration of the person authorized to perform the functions of the state or local government for 2016, Valeriy Viktorovych Heletey, the Chief of the State Guard Department, based on the grounds stated in the message,” a response reads signed by the NACP head Natalia Korchak on the request, which the organization sent to the agency.

The CCC filed a statement to NACP on the verification of Heletey’s declaration after the journalists of the ‘Frauds’ TV program found out that the family of the State Guard Department chief uses an elite Audi Q7 2016 car, which hasn’t been mentioned in the declaration of a high official.
