The Pechersky District Court of Kyiv has chosen pre-trial restrictions for two officials of PJSC Ukrzaliznytsia detained by the Kyiv prosecutor’s office for a corruption crime.
Press secretary of the prosecutor’s office Nadia Maksymets said on her Facebook page after a ten-hour trial the head of the Ukrzaliznytsia land department was given a pre-trial restriction in the form of custody for a period of two months with an alternative of bailment in the amount of Hr 3.8 million.
His accomplice, the deputy head of the Ukrzaliznytsia legal department, was given a pre-trial restriction in the form of custody for the same period with the possibility of making a bail of Hr 3.2 million.
“In addition, both suspects were suspended from their posts,” Maksymets wrote.
The officials were detained on July 6 on suspicion of accepting an offer from the director of a commercial enterprise for facilitating the signing of a lease agreement for nine hectares of land. They estimated their services at $150,000.
