You're reading: Court finds Kolchenko detained at Belarusian embassy guilty of hooliganism

Shevchenkivsky District Court of Kyiv found Crimean resident Oleksandr Kolchenko, who returned to Ukraine within the mutual release of detainees from the Russian Federation in 2019, guilty of hooliganism and awarded 40 hours of community service.

According to Channel 5, the case of malicious disobedience to law enforcement officers is still pending, but the time of the relevant hearing is not yet known.

As reported, five people, including Kolchenko, who were apprehended outside the Belarusian Embassy in Kyiv have been charged with public order violation and disruptive behavior. As noted in the police, offenders face a fine or community service for a period of 40 to 60 hours.
