Lawyers of the New Forces Movement leader Mikheil Saakashvili have said Mikheil Abzianidze, who was deported from Ukraine in October 2017, has convinced a court to overturn his ban on entering Ukraine, the party’s press service said.

Lawyer Pavlo Bohomazov said the relevant decision to abolish the three-year ban on entry to Ukraine was made on May 11. On June 1, Ukraine’s State Migration Service applied to the State Border Service with instructions to comply with this decision.

“A message was sent on removing the control of the instruction of the State Inspectorate of the State Medical Inspectorate of Ukraine in Kyiv about the ban on the further entry to Ukraine for a period of three years to Georgian citizen Abianidze,” the State Migration Service told the lawyer.

On October 23, 2017, non-factional deputy Yuriy Derevianko appealed to Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko with a report about the illegal abduction of three Georgian citizens in Ukraine.
