The court, at the request of the prosecutor’s office, has changed the measure of restraint from detention to house arrest with the duty to wear an electronic bracelet to Ihor Pavlovsky, who is accused of organizing the murder of an activist and deputy mayor of Kherson, Kateryna Gandziuk, lawyer Masi Nayyem has said.

“One of the suspects in the murder of Kateryna Gandziuk was released from the pretrial detention center. Ihor Pavlovsky is the suspect in the case. The judge made the decision, satisfying the motion of the prosecutor’s office. Now he is not kept in the detention center. He is placed under a house arrest with the obligation to wear a bracelet,” Nayyem wrote on his Facebook page on May 2.

“If something happens to Pavlovsky, it will be only with the tacit consent of the SBU and the Prosecutor General’s Office,” he added.
