You're reading: Court reduces bail for ex-head of State Fiscal Service Nasirov to Hr 36 million

Kyiv’s Shevchenkivsky District Court has extended the preventive measure for former head of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine Roman Nasirov, reducing the bail to Hr 36 million from Hr 100 million.

According to the press service of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO), on the eve of March 4 a court hearing was held to consider the case of ex-head of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine Roman Nasirov and the head of the service department, at which the pre-trial restriction was extended.

“The court extended the pre-trial restriction to the former head of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine and the head of the service department. However, on its own initiative, it reduced the bail for the former head of the service from Hr 100 million to Hr 36 million in accordance with the size of a civil suit in criminal proceedings,” the report says.

The SAPO said at the said court hearing the prosecution did not read a single page of the indictment.

The next court session is scheduled for March 14, 2019, at 3:30 p.m.
