The Court of Cassation within the Supreme Court on April 26, will consider three cases on appeal against the decree of the President of Ukraine dated Feb. 2 No. 43/2021 On the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine dated Feb. 2 On the application of personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions).

The press service of the Supreme Court reports that at 1200 a hearing is scheduled to consider case No. 9901/42/21 on the claim of LEADER TV LLC, at 14:00 – a hearing on consideration of case No. 9901/22/21 on the appeal of a citizen, who appealed against this decree, and at 1430 – a hearing on the consideration of case No. 9901/34/21 at the claim of Novyny 24 Hodyny (24 Hours News) LLC.

As reported, on Feb. 2 President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree on the imposition of sanctions against MP of Ukraine from the Opposition Platform – For Life faction Taras Kozak, as well as eight limited liability companies. The sanctions locked operations of three TV channels – 112.Ukraine, NewsOne, and ZIK affiliated with one of the leaders of the Opposition Platform – For Life Viktor Medvedchuk. According to the decision, personal special economic and other restrictive measures will be applied, in particular, to Taras Kozak and legal entities “Ariadna TV”, “New format TV”, “TV Vybor”, “TV and radio company” 112 TV “,” Leader TV “, “Partner TV”, “News 24 hours”, “New communications.”
