Ukraine has identified 1,022 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours as of 9 a.m. on July 29.

The largest numbers of new cases were registered in Lviv Oblast (149), Kyiv (132), Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast (118) and Kharkiv Oblast (78).

The total number of infections identified in Ukraine since the start of the pandemic stands at 67,597. A total of 37,394 people have recovered and 1,650 have died of the disease.

Of all cases registered in Ukraine in the past 24 hours, 59 are children and 74 are medical workers.

In the past 24 hours, Ukraine has recorded 21 deaths from COVID-19, 230 patients have been hospitalized and 650 have recovered.

In total, 14,939 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests were administered across the country during the past 24 hours. In addition, Ukrainian laboratories carried out 16,262 antibody tests (ELISA), Health Minister Maksym Stepanov said at his morning briefing on July 29.
