Ukraine has recorded 564 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours as of 9 a.m. on July 7.
During this period, 21 Ukrainians have died, 197 have been hospitalized and 490 have recovered, Health Minister Maksym Stepanov said at his morning briefing. The total number of infections in Ukraine now stands at 49,607, while a total of 22,193 patients have recovered and 1,283 have died of the disease.
Among all infected, 3,569 (or 7.2%) are children, and 7,046 (14.2%) are medical workers.
The largest numbers of new cases were registered in Lviv Oblast (144), Zakarpattia Oblast (83) and the city of Kyiv (63).
In the past 24 hours, Ukrainian laboratories carried out 9,343 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests and 12,031 antibody tests (ELISA).
