The Crimean prosecutor’s office opened two criminal proceedings due to 11 searches in households of Crimean Tatars and the detention of seven people, press secretary of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea (ARC) prosecutor’s office Kateryna Didenko.
“Continuing the policy of prosecutions, repression and harassment, yesterday, the occupation ‘law enforcement officers’ conducted at least 11 searches in the Crimean Tatars’ households and illegally detained seven Ukrainian citizens. In addition to Part 2 of Article 162 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the inviolability of home), the Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea qualifies such actions of the ‘law enforcement officers’ under Part 2 of Article 146 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal imprisonment),” Didenko wrote on Facebook on July 8 evening.
