2019 Presidential Election

  • An all-time record of 44 candidates have been registered to run for president of Ukraine in March 31 election. Four of them are women. The deadline to withdraw from the race is March 7.
  • Yulia Tymoshenko is unhappy with the fact that the Central Election Commission registered a lawmaker who shares her last name and patronymic: Tymoshenko Yuriy Volodymyrovych. She blamed her rivals for using an old scam of putting namesakes on the ballot to confuse voters and thus steal voters from her.
