  • The lawyers of the 24 Ukrainian sailors captured by Russia in international waters in the Black Sea on Nov. 25 demand open and transparent court hearings. Russia claims the sailors “violated Russia’s borders,” while Ukraine insists its servicemen should be treated as prisoners of war.

Business news

  • A Ukrainian couple has developed the Praetorian, an off-road bus that can climb mountains, get through mud, rocks, sand, snow and ice, all while carrying a couple of dozen people.
  • Good news! The Kyiv Post is offering a 24 percent discount on a one-year online subscription in celebration of the newspaper’s 24th year. The discount brings the price down to $45 from the regular $60.
