Before we get started, a request: If you’re a Ukrainian citizen who lives abroad, please consider taking part in a small Kyiv Post survey. We want to better understand what you expect from Ukraine’s new president, Volodymyr Zelenskiy.
And now for something completely different:
The News
- A new interview with one of President-elect Volodymyr Zelenskiy’s confidants offers insight into the new presidents’ plans for his inauguration — and his desire to move the presidential administration from its current location.
- A Brazilian who fought for Russian-led forces in eastern Ukraine has been sentenced to 13 years in prison.
- Personnel of the U.S. Army 101st Airborne Division have arrived in Ukraine’s Lviv Oblast as part of the Joint Multinational Training Group-Ukraine.
- Speaking of Lviv, the city’s Danylo Halytskyi International Airport has increased passenger traffic by nearly 52 percent.
- And even more news from Lviv, as the city authorities demolished a seven-story apartment building that had exceeded its construction permissions. That demolition is likely a first for Ukraine.
