  • Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin. During the meeting, Merkel said that western sanctions against Russia would never be lifted unless Ukraine’s sovereignty was restored.
  • The U.S. Department of Defense gives Ukraine $250 million. The money will go on training, equipment, and advisory efforts to build the capacity of Ukraine’s armed forces.
