  • All existing criminal cases on illicit enrichment will be closed, as Ukraine’s Constitutional Court has recognized liability for illegal enrichment unconstitutional. Besides, it will be impossible to resume relevant investigations if something changes in the future, according to the Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine.
  • Ukraine pulls out of Eurovision, as several singers have refused to represent the country at this year’s international song competition.
  • SBU raids company owned by pro-Russian church cleric. The firm has evaded taxes: it’s failed to pay over $300,000 to the budget, which “caused significant damage to the economic potential of the country,” the SBU said.
  • Anti-Corruption Bureau detectives look into embezzlement in the defense sector after journalists published a story accusing the son of president Poroshenko’s top ally of embezzling millions. In fact, the detectives claim that some of the described by journalists events had already been investigated by them.
