The National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) instructed the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to take measures to ensure uninterrupted gas supplies to households, as well as to a number of other consumers, NSDC Secretary Oleksiy Danilov said.

“The Cabinet of Ministers has been instructed to take comprehensive measures within three days regarding uninterrupted, without the right to outage the gas, household consumers, government-funded, religious organizations, heat supply enterprises, and non-profit enterprises,” Danilov said at a briefing on Oct. 22 following the results of the NSDC meeting.

According to him, the ban on disconnecting these consumers will be implemented under Article 11 of the law on the natural gas market before the end of the 2021-2022 heating season.
