Editor’s Note: The following is a letter released on Oct. 3 by U.S. House of Representatives members, Adam B. Schiff, the chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence; Eliot L. Engel, the chairman of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs; and Elijah Cummings, the chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reforms. The texts relate to the ongoing U.S. House impeachment inquiry into U.S. President Donald J. Trump’s attempt to condition $391 million in foreign aid to Ukraine and a White House meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the opening of a criminal investigation ex-U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden and his son, Hunter, who served for for years as a board member of a shady Ukrainian energy firm, Burisma, which is owned by former Ecology Minister Mykola Zlochevsky.
