The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine starts beta testing of COVID certificates in the Diia application for devices on the Android operating system.
“Google has tightened the requirements for information related to COVID-19. This has also affected smartphone applications, which has caused delays. We have met all the conditions set by the company and received approval of the new version of Diia with certificates,” Prime Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov wrote in his Telegram channel on August 17.
According to him, from August 17, all those who registered for testing on Android will gradually receive letters with a link to the instructions and the application.
“Last week, we began to connect to the EU product environment, where all COVID certificates are launched. At the same time, we are waiting for the recognition of Ukrainian certificates by the European Union. There is very little left before safe travel around the world without unnecessary obstacles,” Fedorov said.
As reported, on August 11, the Ministry of Finance announced the beginning of Ukraine’s connection to the product infrastructure of European COVID certificates.
