The summit of Eastern Partnership, where Ukraine holds membership, will take place in Brussels on June 18, Ukraine’s Representative to the European Union, Ambassador Mykola Tochytsky reported.

In Brussels on Feb, 24, Tochytsky told the journalists that the Ukrainian party has not only declared its readiness to participate in this event, but also promised to take an active position in order to achieve definite pragmatic results.

“We would like the programs that exist within the framework of the Eastern Partnership to be used to strengthen our path towards European integration,” the Ukrainian diplomat said.

Tochytsky stressed that the Ukrainian side would like all the mechanisms existing in the framework of cooperation with the European Union, including those written in the Association Agreement, the Eastern Partnership and other programs, “to complement and deepen those processes that are inalienable and necessary so that we have a solid foundation in our advancement to the EU.”
