You're reading: Europe allocates 1.2 billion euros to support Ukrainian economy

BRUSSELS – The European Commission has announced a decision to allocate 1.2 billion euros to Ukraine to overcome the economic consequences of the coronavirus pandemic.

Relevant information was posted by the European Commission in Brussels on April 22.

“The Commission has adopted a proposal for a 3 billion euros macro-financial assistance (MFA) package to ten enlargement and neighborhood partners [countries that are in the expansion and neighborhood policy] to help them to limit the economic fallout of the coronavirus pandemic. It represents an important demonstration of the EU’s solidarity with these countries at a time of unprecedented crisis,” the press release reads.

So, in accordance with the decision of the EC, Ukraine will receive 1.2 billion euros.
