You're reading: Education Ministry plans to launch ‘New Ukrainian School’ at base one in 2022

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine is preparing for the launch of the “New Ukrainian School” at a basic school in 2022.

“The reform of the New Ukrainian School is one of the key reforms of the ministry, which is also being implemented thanks to the full support of international partners,” acting Minister of Education and Science Serhiy Shkarlet said quoted by the press service of the ministry.

It is also reported that preparations are currently underway for the launch of the “New Ukrainian School” at the basic school in 2022.

The main tasks in this aspect are: updating the content of basic education and teaching methods for the formation of key competencies for life; digitalization; creation of an effective network of schools; support for teachers, including payment reform, the creation of professional development centers, advanced training and teacher certification; supervision and introduction of pedagogical internship; creation of a safe educational environment in institutions of general secondary education, free from any forms of violence and discrimination; equipping all schools with warm toilets; development of a modern, inclusive and developing environment, providing for a new educational space; advanced training of teachers of the psychological service; organization of extracurricular activities of students in accordance with their needs and interests; ensuring the inclusiveness of education, including the establishment of effective work of inclusive resource centers for the provision of services to children with special educational needs, their psychological and pedagogical assessment and support; creation of a system of vocational guidance for students, including the conduct of monitoring studies; professional development of teachers leading vocational guidance; ensuring the availability of out-of-school education.
