Bill No. 10376 of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskiy regarding changes to the law on the electricity market provides for the postponement of launch of the new model for one year, until July 1, 2020, representative of the head of state in the government Andriy Gerus said on Facebook.

“Unfortunately, the corresponding work on preparations for the new market has not been done over two years. Therefore, to prevent a sharp rise in tariffs and crises in the electricity market, the postponement of launch of the new market model for a year was initiated. And together with it the development and implementation of a monthly plan of preparation for the relevant changes,” he said.

He also noted that in addition to this draft law, the head of state submitted to parliament a bill on renewing feed-in tariffs for ground household solar power plants with a capacity of up to 30 kW.
