EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell thanked the Ukrainian authorities for promptly launching an investigation into the death of one of the founders of the Belarusian House in Ukraine, Vitaliy Shyshov.
“Shocked by reports that Belarus activist Vitaliy Shyshov has been found hanged in a Kyiv park. He helped many flee the Lukashenko regime’s repression. Commend Ukrainian authorities for quickly opening an investigation into his death, incl his possible murder,” Borrell said on Twitter.
He stressed “justice must be done.”
