The European Commission has extended the antidumping duty on imports of seamless pipes from Ukraine in the amount of 25.7 percent, and the duty for Dniprovsky Pipe Plant is 12.3 percent and for Interpipe’s plants – 13.8 percent.

In addition, the European Commission extended the antidumping duty on seamless pipes from Russia in the amount of 35.8 percent.

An investigation by the European Commission (covering the period from July 2016 to June 2017) proves the attractiveness of the European market for Russian manufacturers of steel pipes, according to the materials of the European Commission. Thus, the annual demand in the European Union countries for steel pipes during the investigation period was 1.3 million tonnes (1.5 million tonnes in 2014), which is one of the most significant indicators of consumption in the world. After the introduction of additional safeguard duties on steel products from the United States, the European market has become even more attractive for Ukrainian and Russian companies.
