Hungarian Minister of the Prime Minister’s Office Gergely Gulyás, member of Fidesz, a Hungarian right-wing populist and national-conservative political party, has once again reiterated the position of the Hungarian government that Hungary “should continue blocking NATO accession talks” for Ukraine. This step is intended to pressure Ukraine to allow ethnic Hungarians of Zakarpattia Oblast to have Hungarian as their language of instruction in educational institutions instead of Ukrainian.
