BRUSSELS – Member of European Parliament and its Committee on Ukraine-EU Association Petras Austrevicius (Renew Europe Group, Liberals, Lithuania) has called for Ukraine to develop a new political culture.
Austrevicius expressed this opinion after observing early elections to Ukraine’s parliament on the behalf of the European Parliament.
He said parliament and Ukrainian Volodymyr Zelensky must now join forces to promote much-needed reforms. The MEP stressed the importance of maintaining EU support in order to resist Russian aggression in the east of Ukraine.
The politician said Ukraine needs a new political culture, one that will have less influence from oligarchs and anonymous moneyed interests.
