Former deputy of Verkhovna Rada of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Vasyl Hanysh, who has been previously convicted for 12 years in prison for high treason, was detained under assistance of Crimean prosecutor’s office.

“At the time the court verdict came into force, the convict was not in custody and still unreasonably continued to be out of prison. Now Vasyl Hanysh has been detained and placed in the Kyiv detention center state-run facility,” the Telegram channel of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea reported on July 1.
