You're reading: Fiscal service reports on sending Hr 12 billion to road construction, reconstruction in 2017

The State Fiscal Service has reported about sending Hr 12 312 billion for development of road infrastructure as part of a customs experiment in 2017, the authority has reported on its website.

“Last year among leaders of sending funds for reconstruction of roads are Odesa Customs Office that sent Hr 2.35 billion, Kyiv Customs Office with Hr 1 884 billion, Lviv with Hr 1 115 billion, Kyiv City Customs Office with Hr 1.39 billion and Donetsk Customs Office with Hr 1.28 billion,” the fiscal service said.

As reported, the Verkhovna Rada extended the experiment for financing repair and reconstruction of roads thanks to extra revenue from customs payments for one year – until Jan.1, 2019. The parliament also introduced a possibility of additional financing the experiment using the funds of the State Road Fund that was launched on Jan.1, 2018.

The experiment started in Sept. 2015. The half of the sum above the target for customs payments (the excise duty, duty, VAT for imported goods) are sent to special funds of regional budgets.
