Dutch Foreign Minister Stephanus Abraham Blok, together with Belgian Deputy Foreign Minister Sophie Wilmès and Luxembourg Foreign Minister Jean Asselborn, will visit Ukraine on May 6-7.
“The visit is all about underlining the three countries’ support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. In addition, the countries will discuss continuation of reforms in Ukraine,” the Dutch Embassy in Ukraine said on Facebook on May 5.
The embassy said that on Thursday, May 6, a visit of ministers to the contact line in eastern Ukraine and a meeting with civil society is scheduled.
On Friday, May 7, the Foreign Ministers of the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg are expected to meet with members of the Ukrainian government, including Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Kuleba with colleagues from Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg will discuss the consolidation of international support for Ukraine to deter Russia from further aggression, strengthening regional security, supporting the European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine, promoting internal transformations in our state.
The ministers will pay special attention to the development of trade and investment between Ukraine and the Benelux countries.
In addition, the ministers will hold a joint press conference.
