You're reading: Foreign Ministry recommends Ukrainians to refrain from visiting Greece, North Macedonia

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba instructed the Ukrainian embassies in the Hellenic Republic and the Republic of North Macedonia to keep under special control the needs of Ukrainian citizens in connection with major forest wildfires in these countries, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine said.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine recommends to citizens of Ukraine who are planning trips to Greece and North Macedonia or are already on their territory: refrain from visiting locations affected by the elements; closely monitor the messages of local civil protection services; strictly adhere to recommendations and instructions on safety,” the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said in the Telegram channel on August 6.

The ministry also recommended that in case of a threat to life or health, immediately contact the appropriate foreign diplomatic institution of Ukraine at the place of stay.
