The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has said that there are no additional restrictions on trips abroad for Ukrainian citizens while commenting on a statement made by the UK Embassy, according to which Ukrainian citizens allegedly must receive a permit from the Foreign Ministry for a trip abroad.
“The current legislation does not impose any additional restrictions on Ukrainian citizens’ trips abroad. Under conditions of the fight against the spread of the coronavirus epidemic in Ukraine, the government decided to close certain checkpoints on the state border, in particular for flight communication,” the ministry’s press service said on May 10.
It also said that the ministry has informed foreign diplomatic missions to Ukraine about the list of these checkpoints.
