France is ready to support the initiatives of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskiy to achieve peace in Donbas, French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian has said.
“I want to share my impressions of the mood and determination on the part of the new Ukrainian president in strengthening his country, at the same time bringing peace closer, putting an end to the war. France once again confirmed its readiness to support the implementation of any initiatives that would come from the Ukrainian leadership to realize this goal,” the official told reporters near the building of the presidential administration of Ukraine after a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy in Kyiv on May 31.
