Gazprom (MOEX: GAZP) decided not to book capacities for the next gas year, from October 1, 2021 to October 1, 2022, through Poland and Ukraine at annual auctions that took place via the GSA Platform and Regional Booking Platform on July 5.
While the Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine (GTSOU) offered extra ‘firm’ capacities of 9.8 million cubic meters per day for reservation – in addition to the long-term contract in the volume of 40 billion cubic meters per year, amounting to 109 mcm per day, Poland’s Gas System offered capacities of 79 mcm per day via the Yamal-Europe gas pipeline.
Initially, GTSOU offered 15 mcm per day at the auction, but then the supply amount reduced to 9.8 mcm per day.
